
Roles with Client Interaction
Parent Mentor
Description:
For our pregnancy clients who decide to parent, we offer a program called Parenting Success. Our clients are paired with a parent mentor who will walk with them through a six-week parenting curriculum and the client will earn items to care for baby when baby arrives. There is a need for both mom and dad mentors.
Qualifications:
- You have been a parent for 2+ years
- Daytime availability
- Basic computer skills
- Mature walk with the Lord
- Requires an interview, background check, and additional training
Scheduler
Description: Answer the scheduling line in a professional and cheerful manner. The scheduler is trained to follow a script when scheduling appointments for patients and will navigate our scheduling software to input new appointments.
Qualifications:
- Two 4 hour shifts per week
- Friendly, warm, non-judgmental
- Organized
- Requires at least a 1-year commitment
- Requires interview, background check, and a month of training
Bloom Volunteer
Description:
Qualifications:
- Tuesday evening availability
- A heart for serving women and their children through all seasons of motherhood
- CPR/first aid training is a plus
- Various roles available ranging from setup/cleanup to childcare and facilitating groups
- Requires interview and background check
Intake Specialist
Description: The Intake Specialist (IS) meets with pregnancy patients and follows a script in assessing each patient and their specific situation. The IS works closely with the nursing staff to give each patient personalized care.
Qualifications:
- 4 hours per week
- Friendly, warm, non-judgemental
- Ability to stay on script and follow processes in place
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Previous experience in Greeter role
- Requires at least a 1-year commitment
- Requires interview, background check, and a month of training
Greeter
Description:
Greet people as they come into our center, build patient files, check patients in on the computer, communicate wait time and process to patients, answer phones, and transfer calls.
Qualifications:
- 4 hours/week
- Friendly, warm, non-judgemental
- Organized
- Requires interview, background check, and additional training
- Requires at least a 3-6 month commitment
Roles without Client Interaction
Church Liaison: Help with communications between Alpha Center and your church’s pastoral staff, help with facilitating baby bottle campaign, communicate Alpha Center news, needs, and events.
Alpha Center Ambassador: Communicate the heart of our ministry to your friends, family, and neighbors. Have Alpha Center materials to share when appropriate (will require training)
Admin Help: Help with various office tasks
Prayer Team: Pray for our center, clients, and staff
