How God has moved in 2025
Wow, it’s really December?
2025 has flown by, and I am awestruck by how God has moved this year.
There have been so many things in my life this year that I wouldn’t have guessed were in my future as we crossed from 2024 to 2025. Some were good, some were heartbreaking, but all have been challenging. We unexpectedly found a house that fit our family better and in the span of two months put our house for sale and moved over the summer…finally getting into our new house 5 days before the gala (for the record, I do not recommend this timing). I had wrist surgery on each wrist to treat nearly 2 decades of tendinitis and carpal tunnel pain, the left in July and the right in October. I watched too many of my friends and family members lose a loved one too soon to cancer this year. A lifelong friend walked a journey of persecution and false accusations in her missions work that was the stuff of nightmares. Our country has been ill at ease and our state continues to pass increasingly alarming bills allowing fewer and fewer restrictions on abortion, and a new clinic has opened in Boulder to provide abortion at any time for any reason.
It is too easy to be discouraged when we see the physical and emotional wreckage surrounding us. And, I am often reminded in these times of trouble of my time at Mill City, where Pastor Aaron would often remind us “BUT God...” At my current church, Crossroads Community Church in Parker, we have a tradition of a “giving thanks” day during service the Sunday after Thanksgiving, where members could stand and share what God has done for them and why they are thankful. People shared about healing for their children, being 30 days sober, being free from suicidal ideation, and more. So many people shared about God’s faithfulness that service went long!
I started reflecting on Alpha Center and all that we have to be thankful for this year…and God has been so amazingly good.
Our staff started the year with the goal of seeing an increase of 18% for pregnancy patients, with new marketing opportunities in hand and a staff eager to serve. We’ve now seen an increase of 28%.
For our gala, we had a lofty goal of $280,000 to cover the rising costs of testing, staffing, and, frankly, everything. God provided $360,000.
In January, we decided to trial live chats to help reach patients without a phone call. It’s been so successful that we’re now working on implementing a chatbot that can talk to patients and schedule them 24/7.
Our programs have long needed a space to meet with clients and store supplies for a boutique. We have been invited to hold an office in the LoveFoCo Building, which is opening around Easter in the coming year.
Alpha Center is in the process of hiring a Marketing & Communications Specialist to help us reach more abortion minded women in our area and keep the in-house and client side of our marketing running smoothly.
Alpha Center navigated staffing shifts smoothly and we now have a great team of 3 PR Leads that were hired in the summer along with Jessica being promoted to our PR Director.
We have been able to serve 8 Spanish Speaking patients this year because we have a Spanish speaking nurse and PR lead, and they have been working on translating our materials.
Our After-Abortion groups have had 6 women participate this year and our next session begins in January.
At least 118 of our pregnancy patients have chosen life!
Tomorrow is Colorado Gives Day, the state-wide day of giving.
Please consider a meaningful year-end investment today either through Colorado Gives Day or our website. Whether it’s $23.75 every month to cover one pregnancy appointment for the year, $40 covering a month of material support for a Parent Success graduate, $125 to cover a counseling appointment, $285 to cover 1 pregnancy appointment with ultrasound, $855 for 3 pregnancy appointments with ultrasound (the average number of times a high risk pregnancy patient is seen) or $5,000 to cover a month of impactful digital marketing, your contribution is not just an investment; it is a physical example of how God enters the messy darkness of our world to shine light on His loved ones.
I’m so thankful for your partnership,
Kristen
