Parent Success

While parenting doesn’t come with a guidebook, many of us wish it did! 

The Parent Success program from Alpha Center in Fort Collins offers classes specific to moms, dads, and parents together in formats that are practical and easy to digest.

What is Parent Success?

In Successful Moms and Successful Dads, moms and dads-to-be will be paired with a Mom Mentor or Dad Guide who has been there! During our mentoring sessions, you can watch clips from the curriculum and chat about it with the mentor in real time to get answers to your questions. You will also receive a booklet with all of the information that was covered so that you can go back to it once baby is here!

In your sessions, you will have a safe space to ask questions and learn how to care for your baby and yourselves more confidently. Many of our participants remain in contact with their mentor after the baby is born as extra support!

After the sessions are complete, both moms and dads will have the opportunity to receive baby supplies and gift cards to help provide materially for your child.

Anyone in a parenting role to at least one child under the age of 2 is welcome to attend these co-ed classes.

FAQ:

Is there a cost to participate in Parent Success Programming?

Our Parent Success Programming (Successful Moms, Successful Dads, and Successful Families) is all provided at no cost to you because of generous donations from the community.

Am I able to participate virtually?

Yes! Starting in 2024 we will offer virtual mentoring for both Successful Moms and Successful Dads.

Is there an option to meet on weekends?

Currently, we do not have the option to meet on the weekends, but weeknights are an option. Parent Success Meetings are on the second Tuesday of the month and Successful Moms/Dads are scheduled at a time that works best for you and your mentor.

Can Moms and Dads meet together?

Successful Families is a great option for moms and dads to participate in learning together! For Individual Mentoring, we have moms meet with mom mentors and dads meet with dad mentors. Of course, moms can share information and videos with their partners and vice versa. Parenting will realistically change life in different ways for the mom and dad, and having mentors of the same role can help prepare you for the specific changes.

Can I bring my kids to Successful Families Meetings?

We provide childcare at no cost while you attend a Successful Families meeting, we just need to know that you are coming! Sign up for a class and let us know who is coming here.

Do you offer Labor & Delivery Classes?

Yes! Alpha Center offers three Labor & Delivery classes a year for moms, dads, or another support person to attend at no charge. This class is a one-day intensive. Sign up here.
